For Chad, building is more than just a profession — it’s something he has loved doing since he was young.
Growing up in Eastern North Carolina, Chad spent countless hours working alongside his father, learning how to repair, fix, and build things with his hands. Those early lessons not only taught him practical skills but also instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship, hard work, and doing things the right way.
Today, that same passion drives everything he does at Red Beard’s Construction Group.
Chad has lived in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for over 10 years, giving him a strong understanding of the unique environment and construction needs of the coastal region. Building here requires experience, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to coastal conditions — something Chad has developed through years of hands-on work in the area.
Known for his professionalism, strong work ethic, and honest approach, Chad believes that every successful project begins with listening to the client. He takes the time to understand each vision and works closely with homeowners and business owners from the beginning of the project to the final result.

Behind every great builder is a mentor who helped shape the path.
For Chad, that mentor is Phil Faison. Phil has been part of the home building industry for over 40 years and held his contractor license for more than 25 years. Throughout his career, he built a strong reputation for quality work, deep industry knowledge, and a true understanding of the construction business.
Before retiring, Phil was also a modular home dealer, working closely with manufacturers and helping families build reliable, well-crafted homes. Over the years, he gained valuable experience not only in construction but also in how to guide clients through the entire building process.
As Phil began preparing for retirement, he wanted to pass on his knowledge and experience to someone he trusted. That’s when he encouraged Chad to take the next step in his career — earning his contractor license and becoming a dealer for Holmes Building Systems.
With Phil’s mentorship and decades of experience guiding him, Chad continues to build on those principles today: honesty, strong craftsmanship, and doing the job the right way.
